logo saves is an application developed by ECOBAS, an Interuniversity Research Center comprised of researchers from all three Galician universities. The application will provide information via the web on the situation and recent evolution of the Cooperative Movement in Galicia, as well as the economic-financial profile of Galician cooperatives, with potential for future expansion to all entities of the Social Economy.

The application aims to be a useful work tool for all the actors involved in cooperativism, in particular, and in the social economy in general. Open to the public, although with different levels of accessibility, it is designed to operate quickly from all types of electronic devices, so that it becomes a virtual assistant for the daily management of cooperatives, their representative associations and the Public Administration.

The information on Cooperativism and Social Economy in Galicia, at present, is scattered in various statistical sources. This dispersion greatly complicates data processing. There are no historical series with comparable data over time. There is no set of indicators adapted to the uniqueness of cooperative societies. None of the statistical sources provide data that is easy to consult on mobile electronic devices.

Faced with this reality, logo saves, Virtual Assistance System for Cooperativism and Social Economy arises.

logo saves uses the public accounting information deposited by cooperatives in the Galician Cooperative Registry, which is crossed with other sources of information, to obtain a complete photograph of the Galician Cooperative Movement. The most relevant additional sources of information are: Ministry of Labor and Social Security; Statistics National Institute; Galician Institute of Statistics; "Libro branco do cooperativismo en Galicia (2004)" and "Libro branco da Economía Social en Galicia (2018)"; Synthesis Reports of the Galician Economy (various years); Inventory of Cooperatives of Galicia (Espazocoop); as well as any other source that provides useful and periodic statistical information on the cooperative reality.

logo saves will progressively publish graphical results reports, as more data is incorporated. At the end of this first stage, authorized users will have the possibility to customize the indicators to their specific information needs. This is, however, only a first step towards achieving fluid and constant feedback between SAVES reports and its users in the future.
